Almond Blueberry Smoothie & Cheesy Toast


This recipe is very simple but nutritious. Using the Fage Zero Greek Yogurt provides twice the protein of regular yogurt. There are 20 grams in a cup. If you do not use Splenda, use the sweetener of your choice and adjust the calorie count accordingly. You can use any fruit you like as well. Peach, strawberry, and banana are all good. This smoothie along with cheesy toast made with one slice of 2% cojack cheese and Sara Lee 45 calorie 100% Multi-Grain Bread is a nice 200 calorie breakfast. Add one scrambled egg and you’re still under 300 calories!

Almond Blueberry Smoothie
1/2 C. blueberries
1/2 C. Fage Zero Greek Yogurt
1/2 C. crushed ice
1/4 t. almond extract
3 packets of Splenda

Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
