Blueberry Brulee

This is an incredibly easy dessert that can be made with any number of fruits. I’ve made it with strawberries, blueberries, peaches, and combinations of these fruits. If you have one of those food torches, you could probably use it instead of broiling it. This would give you more control over the browning of the brown sugar but may not heat the fruit up enough . . . give it a try and see how it turns out. This recipe is easy to multiple for the number you are serving.

Ingredients
2 C. of blueberries
1 C. Fage Zero Fat Greek Yogurt (sour cream also works)
1 T. vanilla
1 C. brown sugar

Divide the blueberries into 4 oven-proof serving dishes. Mix the Greek yogurt and vanilla and spoon over the fruit. Top each of the four dishes with one quarter of the brown sugar. Broil for 3 to 4 minutes, watching to make sure it doesn’t burn, until the brown sugar is melted and carmelized. If your brown sugar seems on the dry side, drizzle 1 t. of water over each dish before you broil them. Serves 4.
