Chocolate Orange Delights
The inspiration for this recipe came from one of my favorite candy bars. It’s a chocolate bar with bits of orange peel and chopped almonds in it. YUM! If you like the combination of chocolate and orange then you will enjoy this recipe. It adds a unique flavor to your holiday cookie platter.
Ingredients
3 C. Homemade Holiday Cookie Mix
1/4 C. low sugar orange marmalade (I used Smucker’s)
1 large egg
1 t. vanilla
1/2 C. semi-sweet mini chocolate chips
1 1/2 C. sliced almonds
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In a medium bowl mix together the egg, vanilla, and orange marmalade.
2. Add the cookie mix and mix until sticky dough forms.
3. Stir in the mini chocolate chips.
4. Spray the palms of your hands with non-stick cooking spray (to keep the dough from sticking to them) and form scant teaspoons of dough into balls, roll in sliced almonds, and place on greased cookie sheet two inches apart.
5. Bake at 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes. Makes 3 dozen.
